I've been asking myself this question. I'm fortunate that I get to go to one conference per year. But which one?
There are several options. Not least of which is the Code4Lib 2009 Conference (registration opened today).
In case your wondering: I've chosen Balisage: The Markup Conference. I've accepted the fact that I'm turning into an XML/XQuery geek :)
Any thoughts on other good conferences?
When people ask me that question I usually suggest the Dublin Core conferences. Yeah, I know, it's hard to find the funding to travel internationally these days, but there are generally good papers, interesting people, and lots to learn.
Next year is Seoul, Korea. There's some hope that the following year (2010) it might come back to North America--stay tuned!

Yes, I would love to go to a Dublin Core conference. (Only problem is I'm not much of a travel bug.)
